In my place of prayer this morning, I began to thank the Lord for His endless mercies and deep compassion towards me. My heart overflowed with gratitude as I told Him how He found me — broken, lost, and unworthy — and yet chose to love me. He didn't discard me. He washed me. He restored me back to Himself. He whispered to my soul, "You are Mine, and I am yours." The weight of His unwavering love broke me, and I began to cry.
In the midst of those tears, as I prayed and spoke in the language of the Spirit, two words leapt into my spirit: TALIAYA and TUFFARTI. I kept repeating them, sensing that God was speaking something profound. When I finished praying, I searched for their meanings — and what I discovered shook me. It was as if Heaven had encoded a message straight into my spirit.
🌬️ TALIAYA — The Dew of God
The word Taliaya echoes the Hebrew/Aramaic sense of "dew of God" or "heavenly dew." It speaks of God's gentle visitation — His quiet coming. Like morning dew, He descends unnoticed by many, but deeply nourishing to those who pause to feel it. "I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall blossom like the lily…" — Hosea 14:5. Taliaya is not the roar of thunder, nor the blaze of fire. It is the soft touch of Heaven that comes in silence. It awakens, heals, and restores. It descends when the world is still.
🌊 TUFFARTI — Dive In
Tuffarti, from the Italian tuffarsi, means to plunge in or dive deep. If Taliaya is God's gentle invitation, then Tuffarti is our response — our yes. "When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord… he threw himself into the sea." — John 21:7. Peter didn't wait. He didn't negotiate. He dived in. That's what love looks like. Tuffarti is not cautious. It's reckless abandonment into the arms of God. It's not a step; it's a plunge.
The Prophetic Rhythm: Dew & Dive
Together, Taliaya and Tuffarti create a divine rhythm: God visits with dew — you dive in. He whispers — you respond. He descends — you surrender. A.W. Tozer: "The man who has God for his treasure... dives deep into the peace of God." Madame Guyon: "Abandon yourself into the arms of God and remain there in peace."
He gives the dew (Taliaya) — but only you can dive (Tuffarti). The Spirit of the Lord is calling — not to noise and chaos, but to stillness. Not to earthquakes, but to dew. Can you feel the dew? Will you dive?
Holy Spirit, help me recognize the dew when it falls. May I never miss the gentle moments of Your presence because I was expecting noise. When You come like Taliaya, give me the boldness to Tuffarti. I dive in, Lord. I surrender completely. Amen.
